Administration

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement Academic Policies:
    • Develop and enforce academic guidelines and policies

  • Manage Examinations:
    • Oversee the preparation and secure handling of university examinations

    • Ensure the distribution of examination materials and maintain examination records

    • Verify examination marks

  • Process Academic Reports and Admissions:
    • Coordinate the preparation of academic reports and student admissions

    • Manage and maintain student databases and related records

  • Student Discipline and Welfare:
    • Create and enforce guidelines on student discipline and welfare

    • Oversee the management of student discipline and welfare

  • Adherence to Professional Standards:
    • Ensure compliance with university ethics and professional conduct standards

  • Certificate and Transcript Preparation:
    • Prepare and distribute student certificates and transcripts

  • Departmental Management:
    • Develop and monitor departmental work plans and budgets

    • Supervise department staff

  • Teaching and Learning Evaluation:
    • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning processes

  • Coordinate Programs:
    • Oversee student exchange programs, industrial attachments, and research and innovation activities

    • Manage alumni activities

  • Job Qualifications

  • Educational Background:
    • A Master’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university

  • Work Experience:
    • At least twelve (12) years of relevant experience, including three (3) years as an Assistant Registrar (Grade 12) or equivalent

  • Leadership Training:
    • Completion of a leadership and management course lasting at least four (4) weeks cumulatively

  • Professional Competence:
    • Demonstrated professional competence in administration and management

  • Membership:
    • Membership in a recognized professional administration or management body, if applicable

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in computer use and familiarity with web-based technologies such as LMS and ERP systems
