Job Description

CBRE is dedicated to maintaining Data Centres and ensuring efficient critical engineering maintenance services. The primary goal is to achieve 100% uptime of engineering services, thereby preventing any disruption to the client’s business operations.

Job Responsibilities


  • Engineering Operations:

    • Monitor alarms and investigate issues, implementing rectification plans as needed

    • Document and escalate alarms according to internal procedures

    • Ensure critical systems and equipment operate within established parameters

    • Manage email correspondence promptly

    • Convert hard copy documents from operational teams to an electronic document management system

    • Update the DC alert spreadsheet with customer notifications

    • Close all DC alerts by the end of the day unless directed otherwise by the client

    • Raise work orders and ensure they are closed according to local KPI and SLA guidelines

  • General Administration:

    • Maintain a high level of customer service through formal communication channels

    • Present weekly audit/inspection reports to the Site Manager for approval before filing

    • Manage job cards, ensuring they are completed and signed off by the requestor

    • Log all calls with the help desk

  • Job Qualifications


    • Grade 12 education

    • Technical N3/4 Certification is required

    • Proficient computer skills

    • CDCP certification is mandatory

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Data Centres

    • Facilities maintenance experience

    • Strong customer relations and communication skills

    • Ability to plan, organize, and manage personal workload

    • Capability to work under pressure

    • Clear criminal record

    Other Requirements

    • Willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed

    • Knowledge of equipment, materials, and suppliers used in facilities management

    • Familiarity with machine tools and general maintenance

    • Proficient with common hand and power tools

    • Understanding of building layouts and infrastructure

    • Knowledge of electrical fixtures and maintenance practices

    • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
