secThis position entails executing the strategic procurement of goods, services, and inventory management, as well as overseeing disposal activities in line with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (PPADA) 2015 and its associated regulations from 2020. The individual is responsible for implementing the procurement plan and processes within the Logistics section, which encompasses Operations & Maintenance and Stores & Warehouses, of the Supply Chain department.
i) Ensuring adherence to all statutory and legal procurement requirements within the organization
ii) Developing and implementing stores functions and processes for the Operation and Maintenance Section of the department, including inventory maintenance
iii) Enforcing storage and warehousing functions in accordance with the specifications of the PPADA 2015
iv) Participating in and providing administrative support to all procurement and asset disposal committees, including managing goods receipt and issuance, inspection, acceptance, and disposal processes
v) Safeguarding procurement and asset disposal documents and records for the required duration
vi) Retrieving information as necessary for review and compliance purposes
vii) Participating in regional and central store activities and conducting quarterly and annual stock assessments
viii) Generating system requests for goods received notes, service entries, and invoices to facilitate the procure-to-pay process
ix) Compiling statutory reports related to stores and warehousing activities
x) Implementing inventory management practices to ensure optimal stock levels across all regional stores and warehouses
xi) Compiling lists for the disposal of idle, obsolete, and redundant materials in regional stores and sites
xii) Maintaining safety, security, and cleanliness standards in storage facilities
i) Possession of a diploma in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from an accredited institution
ii) Associate membership with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM)
