Job Description
The Deputy Director of Investments Appraisal and Administration will oversee the development and revision of investment and loan recovery policies, monitor and evaluate existing investments, recommend suitable strategies, and manage credit risk within the loan portfolio to optimize profitability and cost-effectiveness in alignment with KDC objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
i) Formulating and executing customer-centric strategies aligned with market demands
ii) Identifying feasible project opportunities for initiation
iii) Assessing various project funding options
iv) Evaluating the feasibility of investment opportunities
v) Identifying and mitigating significant project risks
vi) Monitoring project implementation and operations
vii) Ensuring adherence to all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements within projects
viii) Overseeing the management of the project portfolio
ix) Developing and executing strategies to attract and retain key clients
x) Compiling investment performance reports
Job Qualifications
For a candidate to be considered for this position, they must possess the following qualifications and attributes:
i) A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience, with at least six (6) years in a management position
ii) A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution
iii) A Master's degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution
iv) Certification in Financial Analyst (CFA), Investment and Financial Analyst (CIFA), Public Accountant (CPA (K)), Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA (UK)), or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
v) Membership in a relevant professional body
vi) Completion of a management course would be advantageous
vii) Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
viii) Strong proposal writing skills
ix) Excellent business acumen
x) Exceptional negotiation and communication skills
xi) Demonstrated ability in team development, strong leadership, and managerial skills
xii) Proficiency in computer applications
xiii) Compliance with the requirements outlined in Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya
