Job Description

This role entails coordinating the implementation of security procedures and work instructions to ensure effective and efficient security management across the company's premises and installations.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications & Skills Required:

i) Experience in supervising security agents and regional officers

ii) Strong ability to ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and guidelines among company staff and service providers

iii) Proficiency in systematic filing and documentation of all security operation files and reports

iv) Capability to ensure that all contracted security personnel are well acquainted with work procedures and standing orders

v) Proficiency in effectively and efficiently manning CCTV and Access Control systems to detect any unauthorized access or interference

vi) Experience in supervising contracted security personnel and collaborating with other security agencies

vii) Ability to conduct routine physical security inspections of company premises, assets, and transmission lines

viii) Skilled in undertaking Security Risk Assessments and Security Inspections

ix) Ability to prepare comprehensive weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual security reports

x) Experience in processing monthly security invoices for Security Service Providers according to established procedures

xi) Capability to assist in training and sensitizing company staff on security threat issues

xii) Proficiency in performing security surveillance in company premises and transmission lines, including those under construction

xiii) Proactive in collecting, collating, and disseminating relevant security intelligence to prevent security breaches against employees, assets, and installations

xiv) Ability to attend to operational security-related incidents in coordination with other government security organs

xv) Capacity to identify gaps in existing security setups and make recommendations for necessary amendments

Job Qualifications

i) Possession of a bachelor’s degree in social sciences/security management or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

ii) Prior service in the Police Service/Military with attainment of the rank of Inspector/Captain

iii) Completion of a management course lasting not less than three months from a recognized institution

iv) Completion of an investigations/intelligence course lasting not less than one month

v) Completion of a supervisory course lasting not less than two months

vi) Proficiency in computer skills

vii) Minimum of five years of relevant work experience
