Job Description

  1. Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable. 

Job Responsibilities

The officer's duties and responsibilities will include:

i) Supervising the development, implementation, and review of human resource management policies, plans, strategies, programs, processes, and budgets

ii) Managing employee relations programs and ensuring adherence to staff discipline standards

iii) Overseeing the staff performance appraisal system

iv) Managing human resource planning and development initiatives

v) Directing the implementation of training programs based on identified needs

vi) Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training and development programs

vii) Providing guidance on the development and maintenance of the human resource database

viii) Ensuring the effective administration of the payroll system

ix) Reconciling staff complement and establishment

x) Managing employee relations programs and enforcing staff discipline

xi) Administering staff welfare programs

xii) Providing advice on HR management information systems

xiii) Offering secretarial services to the Institute Human Resource Management Advisory Committee (HRMAC)
