The duties and responsibilities of the officer entail:

i) Driving authorized vehicles as required

ii) Keeping accurate and current work tickets for the vehicles

iii) Cleaning the assigned motor vehicle regularly

iv) Providing regular reports on the status of the assigned motor vehicle

v) Compiling and submitting routine reports regarding the assigned motor vehicle

vi) Maintaining the vehicle in optimal mechanical condition

vii) Ensuring the safety and security of passengers and the vehicle during travel, both on and off-road

viii) Adhering strictly to traffic laws and regulations

To qualify for this position, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

i) Have a minimum of one (1) year of driving experience

ii) Attain a minimum mean grade of D+ (plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent from a recognized institution

iii) Possess a valid driving license without any current endorsement(s) for the required classes of vehicles

iv) Obtain an Occupational Trade Test III Certificate

v) Provide a valid Certificate of Good Conduct

vi) Complete a First Aid Certificate course lasting no less than one (1) week from St

John Ambulance or another recognized institution

vii) Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications

viii) Meet the requirements outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution
