secThe Field Credit Collection Officer will play a vital role in our credit management endeavors, aiding in the retrieval of overdue payments from clients
An ideal candidate should exhibit adept communication and negotiation abilities, along with the knack for fostering favorable rapport with customers, all while upholding credit protocols and guidelines
Conduct visits to customers' premises to recover outstanding payments and address payment issues
- Negotiate payment terms and arrangements with customers to ensure prompt repayment of overdue accounts
- Educate customers on the significance of timely payments and offer assistance in understanding their credit responsibilities
- Maintain precise records of customer interactions and payment transactions using designated software or platforms
- Collaborate with internal teams such as sales and credit administration to resolve customer concerns and settle payment disputes
- Identify and escalate high-risk accounts or delinquent customers to the Credit Manager for further action
- Provide regular updates on collection activities and customer feedback to management
- Follow up with customers regarding payment commitments and monitor adherence to agreed-upon payment schedules
- Assist in devising and executing strategies to enhance collection efficiency and diminish outstanding receivables
- Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards pertaining to credit collection activities
-or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Prior experience of 1-2 years in credit collection or a similar position, preferably within the renewable energy or financial services sector
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, enabling effective communication with customers of diverse backgrounds
- Proficient in utilizing mobile devices and software applications for recording and reporting purposes
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced setting
- Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of local regulations and compliance standards governing credit collection practices in Kenya
- Possession of a valid driver's license and readiness to travel extensively within designated areas
- Fluency in both English and Swahili languages is essential
