Job Description

The Assistant Manager of Corporate Communication will oversee the preservation of the Corporation's reputation, visibility, and corporate image by implementing efficient communication policies, guidelines, and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

- Utilizing online tools and face-to-face networking to cultivate relationships and enhance the KDC brand, both online and offline

- Generating content such as blog posts, articles, newsletters, and materials for social media channels

- Managing social media marketing efforts, including creating, overseeing, and expanding the authority’s presence on platforms like blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and others deemed strategically relevant

- Organizing and participating in industry events and planning meetups for KDC leadership

- Handling incoming media inquiries and fostering relationships with industry journalists

- Planning, executing, and evaluating media campaigns

- Overseeing customer support by gathering reports and forwarding client feedback to management, as well as managing online feedback forums

- Implementing strategic communication plans and offering insights into the local market for public-facing communications by the authority

- Utilizing analytics tools like Google Analytics to generate reports on metrics and continuously seeking ways to enhance those metrics through testing and new initiatives

- Collaborating with journalists, media producers, editors, and strategic influencers

- Gathering information on programs and significant events within a specific KDC Cluster area

- Arranging media interviews and assisting in developing media plans, distributing and tracking media releases, scheduling interviews, and responding to media requests

Job Qualifications

- A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience, with at least four (4) years at a supervisory level

- A Master’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field from a recognized institution

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field from a recognized institution

- Professional qualification and membership in a relevant professional body, where applicable

- Completion of a Management Course would be advantageous

- Proficiency in computer applications

- Compliance with the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution
