secThe candidate will oversee the organization and management of aircraft spares in the warehouse, ensuring they are securely stored, handled, and distributed in compliance with airworthiness regulations and Kenya Airways Plc quality standards. This is to ensure the timely support of Kenya Airways' schedule requirements and those of other operators.
- Ensure aircraft spares and tools are stored and handled in compliance with airworthiness and company quality standards, supporting schedule requirements of Kenya Airways and other operators
- Regulate access to the stockroom per Maintenance Organization Exposition procedures, ensuring the integrity and security of warehoused spares
- Inventory Management: Oversee warehouse inventory, track stock levels, conduct audits, and maintain accurate records using inventory management software (e
g

- Ordering and Replenishment: Place orders for supplies, equipment, and materials, monitor inventory levels, anticipate needs, and coordinate timely delivery
- Receiving and Inspection: Oversee the receiving process, verify quantities, inspect for damage or defects, and document received items to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Storage and Organization: Manage efficient storage and organization of aircraft materials, implement shelving, labelling systems, and storage protocols for streamlined operations
- Distribution and Allocation: Coordinate distribution of materials to various users or warehouses, issue spares and tools to support Kenya Airways' schedule requirements and those of contracted airlines
- Equipment Management: Oversee maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, coordinate with GSE teams for routine maintenance, and ensure optimal working condition to support operations
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and warehouse protocols, handle materials as per OEM instructions, adhere to safety procedures, and comply with relevant regulations
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, orders, and shipments, generate reports to track inventory levels, monitor trends, and provide insights for decision-making
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities to improve warehouse processes, optimize inventory management practices, and reduce costs while maintaining high levels of efficiency and productivity
Qualification (Minimum):
- Degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Business Management/Commerce OR Diploma in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Business Management with 5 years' experience in aviation may be considered
- In-depth knowledge of Inventory and Supply Chain Management
- Training in handling Dangerous Goods will be advantageous
- Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training and operate machinery safely according to company protocol
- General knowledge of logistics, warehousing procedures, and statutory regulations
- Computer literacy, proficiency in MRP systems
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a warehouse environment
