Job Description

The candidate will assume a leadership role, providing effective support and guidance to assigned team members involved in fabricating upholstery items for our aircraft. This entails ensuring that all upholstery work is conducted in accordance with specified requirements, approved standards, and established procedures. The emphasis of this position lies in the meticulous, creative, and dedicated execution of assigned tasks.

Job Responsibilities

- Identifies and resolves problems, ensuring availability of materials to support upholstery production

- Observes workers performing tasks, interprets drawings, sketches, and work orders, guiding them based on upholstery methods, styles, and design requirements

- Ensures all work adheres to regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and established quality standards, notifying appropriate personnel of any deviations

- Analyzes fabric and material inventories to determine production costs and estimates

- Trains and motivates team members to excel in their assignments

- Inspects upholstered articles to ensure they meet customer orders or company standards

- Develops work schedules to optimize efficiency

- Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment

- Cultivates internal and external relationships to foster an effective, adaptable, and productive environment with continuous improvement

- Reports equipment problems to the maintenance team

- Ensures employees comply with safety regulations, policies, and procedures

- Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Qualification (Minimum):


- Holds a degree in fashion and design from a recognized institution OR Diploma in fashion and design

- Knowledge of aircraft parts airworthiness certification (EASA, FAA), KCAA regulations relevant to aircraft parts and components

- Familiarity with lean techniques (5S)

- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience for degree holders

- Minimum of 10 years of experience for diploma holders
