secThe Field Engineer, under the supervision of the Engineering Team Lead, will engage in various tasks including but not restricted to performing Technical Surveys, executing SunCulture product installations, and providing aftersales support. Additionally, they will play a crucial role in disseminating product knowledge and resolving technical issues for SunCulture customers.
Project Management
- Conducting site visits for both pre-feasibility and feasibility assessments, collecting and analyzing site information
- Coordination with clients to schedule product installations within specified timelines
- Efficient time management to ensure timely completion of all assigned projects
Risk Management
- Proactive identification and resolution of job-related risks during installations, with prompt reporting to team leads
- Communication and mitigation of field-related risk factors among fellow engineers
- Performing technical surveys and submitting comprehensive reports to engineering team leads
Technical Expertise
- Designing irrigation systems, executing installations, and delivering after-sale services for SunCulture products
- Mentoring and providing on-field training to new engineers
- Assisting clients with contract completion and submitting signed contracts to headquarters weekly
- Promptly contacting assigned clients and scheduling preferred installation dates via the designated app sheet
- Completing and synchronizing Job Submission Forms (JSFs) in the app sheet on the same day of installation or after-sale service
- Assessing client eligibility and initiating product dispatches via the app sheet upon meeting set threshold requirements
- Timely reporting of emerging issues during after-sales and installations to relevant authorities, collaborating closely with the after-sales department for swift issue resolution
- Offering advice and recommendations to clients regarding suitable products during technical surveys
- Achieving a minimum of 2 installations per day
- Maintaining a mean Turn Around Time of under 2 days for completed jobs
- Ensuring 100% app adherence for all completed tasks
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a focus on Agricultural equipment, is advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing solar grid pump systems and irrigation systems
- Proficient in hands-on tasks, detail-oriented, and possesses strong execution skills, particularly in installation and surveying
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with customers from diverse backgrounds
- Independent thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments
- Comprehensive understanding of industry trends, adaptable to SunCulture's requirements
- Highly organized with expertise in time management
- Adaptive trainer, capable of both teaching and learning, resilient, and flexible
- Proficient in computer skills, including GSuite, Microsoft Office, with experience in database management; familiarity with CAD or other project design software is a bonus
- Ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments and meet deadlines
- Comfortable with ambiguity, adept at planning, organizing, and meeting objectives
