Job Description

Position Overview: We're in search of a committed Insurance Helpdesk Agent to join our Nairobi team. The ideal candidate will have prior customer service experience, especially within insurance, and excellent communication skills to effectively handle customer inquiries, requests, and issues regarding insurance products and services.




Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:


1

Provide prompt and professional assistance to customers via phone, email, and other channels

2

Address customer queries regarding insurance policies, coverage, claims processes, and premium payments

3

Guide customers through insurance-related procedures and documentations

4

Resolve customer complaints with empathy and courtesy, aiming for mutually satisfactory resolutions

5

Coordinate with internal departments like claims and underwriting to ensure efficient issue resolution

6

Stay updated on insurance products, regulations, and industry trends to offer accurate information

7

Maintain thorough records of customer interactions and resolutions

8

Identify areas for process enhancement to improve the overall customer experience



Job Qualifications

Qualifications:


1

Prior customer service experience, preferably in insurance

2

Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written

3

Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer-centric problem-solving

4

Ability to remain composed and positive under pressure

5

Proficiency in computer systems; familiarity with CRM systems is a bonus

6

Detail-oriented with effective multitasking abilities

7

Proactive attitude with a willingness to adapt to changing business demands

8

Fluency in both English and Swahili, verbally and in writing

Education and Experience:


1

High school diploma or equivalent

2

Additional certification or training in insurance-related fields is advantageous

3

Previous experience in a customer service role within the insurance sector is preferred
