Job Description


Reporting to the Managing Director & CEO, the job holder will position ICT (Information Communication Technology) as the primary business enabler and a transformative tool to create an agile, efficient, and effective organization for delivering clean, affordable electric power.




Job Responsibilities


- Develop and implement ICT strategies, policies, systems, and innovations to support business plans

- Ensure the development of a robust ICT network infrastructure, including hardware, software, networking components, operating systems, and data storage, whether deployed in a cloud or internal system

- Oversee the implementation of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls, maintaining a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect company data and systems from cyber threats

- Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and incident reporting, and coordinate with external security agencies and stakeholders to enhance cybersecurity measures when necessary

- Develop and manage a comprehensive data recovery plan to minimize data loss and downtime, ensuring regular testing of data recovery processes

- Stay updated with industry best practices in ICT application technologies (such as SCADA, DCS, Analytics), SAP ERP system, WorkflowGen, Enterprise Content Management (CMS), website, intranet, and mobile solutions to support business processes

- Advise on strategic global ICT trends and innovations that can benefit the business

- Ensure compliance with established ICT standards, procedures, and regulations

- Provide ICT technical support for hardware and software issues and ensure user education on ICT applications, software, and equipment

- Deliver relevant and up-to-date ICT solutions to the business

- Ensure adherence to quality, occupational health, and safety standards

- Prepare, implement, and monitor the departmental budget

- Coach, mentor, and develop employees using relevant human resource tools



Job Qualifications


To be appointed to this grade, an officer must have:

- At least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, including five (5) years as a senior manager in a large organization

- A Master’s degree in Information Communication Technology, Business Management, or Engineering from a recognized institution

- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Business Information Technology (BBIT), Telecommunication & Information Engineering, or Electronics and Computing Engineering from a recognized institution

- Membership in good standing in a relevant professional body

- Demonstrated high performance and leadership in previous roles
