This Privacy Policy explains how Golit Network Limited ("GoLit") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use the GoLit mobile applications and related services. The GoLit platform is hosted and maintained using CareerNub infrastructure.

1. Information we collect
Account and identity
- Full name, mobile phone number, password (stored hashed), optional email
- Account role and one-time verification codes
Delivery and location
- Delivery address, map coordinates, live location during deliveries (with permission)
- Shop or business location (dealers and suppliers)
Orders and transactions
- Order details, prices, payment status, M-Pesa phone numbers (not your M-Pesa PIN)
- Ratings, reliability data, favourite dealers, cylinder usage estimates
Communications
- In-app chat, support messages, voice coordination during orders, notifications
Business profile (dealers & suppliers)
- Shop details, catalog listings, uploaded photos, wallet and withdrawal data
Device and technical data
- Device type, app version, IP address, authentication tokens, diagnostic logs
2. How we use information
We use data to create accounts, show nearby dealers and products, fulfil and track orders, process payments, provide support, improve the service, and comply with law.
3. How we share information
- Between customers, dealers, and suppliers during active orders
- With service providers (hosting, WhatsApp/SMS verification, Google Maps, M-Pesa)
- When required by law or to protect users and the platform
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Permissions
The apps may request internet, location, notifications, microphone, camera/photos, and phone permissions depending on features you use.
5. Data retention and security
We retain data while your account is active and as required for legal and business purposes. We use HTTPS, access controls, and hashed passwords.
